Q&A with Chester County quarterback Evan Schippers
What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“When it comes to off season workouts, I’ve really just been in the gym every morning building my foundation and then in the evenings I’ll work on footwork drills, throwing etc. Just trying to get to the level I want to be at.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“The part of my game I felt like I have improved on would definitely throw. I’ve been working on my mechanics a lot trying to tighten everything up and felt like I’ve developed a more comfortable release.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“You know I looked at last year as our rebuilding year with getting a new coach and a new system. I think this year we are going to surprise a lot of people. Our guys have been working really hard this off-season just preparing to do the things that people say we’re not capable of.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“This year we are playing a lot of good teams. I think every team on our schedule is capable of beating us, but we are capable of beating them too. I’m not going to name one team in particular because every school on our schedule plays a very competitive style of football.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Like the last question, there are a lot of good players we will see this year but one of the main ones is Cameron Clark who’s become one of the most if not the most highly recruited players in the state, Carter Smith at Hardin County has picked up some big time offers this spring. The list goes on. But I’m ready to compete and play the game we all know and love.”
