Kenton, a school from Ohio won the tournament but plenty of in-state teams did well too.

- Brentwood Academy went to the championship game after being seeded 16th at the beginning of the tournament. The Eagles upset the favorite and No.1 seed in the second round, Fayetteville High, a team from Arkansas that's led by the nation's No.9 pro-style rated QB and a Razorback commit, Brandon Allen. In my opinion, Matthew Hamby outshined Allen in that game. Fayetteville also had some good receivers including another kid that's already committed to Arkansas, but William Beaird, Derek King, Kwazel Bertrand and Cody Russell made it tough for Fayetteville to really execute their offense.

- BA beat Ravenwood and Brentwood on the way to the final.

- Pearl-Cohn showed out again, Brunetti really has them on the right path back to prominence I believe. May still need the guys in the trenches to go to a championship again but the skill position players are there, especially Nick Hill and Senquay Eichelberger. Jestin Williams, Reggie Clay and D'Anthony Hall are also legit prospects. Pearl's got talent, no doubt.

- McGavock and Hillsboro did well this weekend, and I think Aaron Bryant of Hillsboro has grown some and may be able to realize his potential as a FBS prospect. Aaron Simms of McGavock is good on either side of the ball.

- Probably the biggest surprise of the entire camp was Springfield sophomore-to-be Brandon Farmer. He looks like a legit 6-foot-2 and is quick, fast and has good hands. He's going to be a real good one and someone to watch in the future.

- Whitehaven split up into two teams and both groups did well. Charles Harris is a SEC linebacker, someone needs to offer the guy. Maybe he'll get one tomorrow when he camps at VU.

Some guys that made the All-Tournament team included:

Charles Harris (LB)- Whitehaven
Brandon Swazey (WR)- Independence
Nick Hill (WR)- Pearl-Cohn
Josh Killett (LB)- Brentwood
Austin Blackwell (WR)- MBA (2012 prospect)
Aaron Bryant (LB)- Hillsboro
Aaron Simms (DB)- McGavock
Brandon Farmer (WR)- Springfield (2013 prospect)

MVP of the Classic

Derek King (ATH)- Brentwood Academy
