What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“This off season I’ve been hitting the gym really hard trying to spend 3-4 hours a day in the gym. I’ve based a lot of my workouts on getting my legs more explosive doing exercises such as power cleans, front squats, and trap bar deadlifts/squats. So far since last season I’ve gone from 185 lb on bench to 310lb, Power clean 225 lb to 265 lb, Front squat 245 lb to 335 lb.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel like I’ve mostly improved my size and strength the most this offseason. I had ankle surgery back in November after I broke it in the last game of the season. I got my boot off at the end of December and I immediately got back to work in the gym and started stacking on weight and increasing my strength at a rapid rate. I was 180 lb in January but right now I’m sitting at 210 lb in May.”
